Advertising and Sponsored Content Policy
Transparency is the rule at Play Jogos. This policy explains the types of advertising on the portal, how we label paid content and why that never interferes with our editorial content.
1. Types of advertising
- Banners and ads shown in reserved areas of the portal.
- Server sponsorship — highlighted in a separate, labelled area of the ranking.
- Sponsored content — paid articles or posts, always labelled.
- Boosted (Marketplace) — longer display time and better visual position for a listing.
- Partners and Store — commercial spaces for partners and sales of official packages.
2. Clear labelling of paid content
All paid content is visibly labelled, with tags such as “Sponsored Content”, “Sponsored” or “Boosted”. Sponsored content is never published without its label. We follow advertising best practices and the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code regarding the identification of advertising messages.
3. Separation between editorial and paid
- The organic ranking of servers is defined by user votes and is never changed by payment; sponsored entries appear in their own separate area.
- Editorial badges such as “Recommended” and “Official Partner” are granted on editorial criteria and cannot be bought.
- “Boosted” is not an editorial recommendation — it is only paid prominence, and must not be confused with “Recommended”.
4. Advertiser responsibilities
The advertiser is responsible for the truthfulness and legality of what they publish, including rights over trademarks, images and offers. We reserve the right to refuse, pause or remove any campaign that violates this policy, the Terms of Use or the law.
5. What we don't accept
- Misleading or abusive advertising, or advertising that cannot be clearly identified as such;
- Illegal, discriminatory, violent or inappropriate content;
- Promotion of RMT, account selling, cheats, hacks, bots or exploits;
- Gambling/betting that does not comply with the law;
- Ads that induce fraud or violate third-party rights.
6. Approval and payment
Campaigns go through manual approval before going live. Payments are processed by Mercado Pago. Payment approval does not automatically activate most formats (server sponsorship, banners) — those depend on manual activation. The exception is the marketplace listing boost, activated automatically after the payment is approved, since the listing has already been approved.
7. Affiliate links
Some areas of the portal may contain affiliate links: when you use them, the portal may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Whenever applicable, this is disclosed transparently.
